No, the course is offered free of charge, by University of Guelph, in collaboration with RBC Future Launch & Farm Credit Canada.
The course consists of eight unique modules which must be completed in order. The course is designed so that participants can learn at their own pace, meaning the course can take as little or as long as you need to absorb the content and pass the end-of-module quizzes. Each module should take 15-20 minutes, on average, to complete.
Yes, the modules need to be completed in sequential order as the skills and topics taught build from one module to the next.

Absolutely! The University of Guelph Foundations in Agricultural Management is open to everyone. All you need is access to a computer, tablet or smart mobile phone.
Before starting the course, all you need is time & motivation to dedicate towards improving your knowledge on this subject matter.
The University of Guelph professors who teach this course do so via pre-recorded video seminars. Unfortunately, it is not possible to communicate with the professors directly about the course content.
Once your session expires, you will not be able to access your course materials. However, if you re-register for the next course session, and if you re-register using the same email address, you can continue the course materials from where you left off.
The Credential ID and URL fields are not necessary for adding the course to your LinkedIn profile. Simply type in University of Guelph Foundations in Agricultural Management in the Issuing Organization field, click “This Credential Does Not Expire”, and that’s all there is!
The tests are made up of a series of multiple choice, true/ false, matching terms & definitions and fill in the blanks designed to test your understanding and knowledge of the materials covered in that module.
All participants must obtain at least 75% on each module in order to progress to the next module.
Yes, if you don’t obtain 75% on a quiz you are welcome to re-take the quiz as often as you need to in order to pass.
Yes. You will receive an official Course Certificate of Completion that you are welcome to share on your resume. The course does not count towards any University of Guelph program, degree, diploma or certificate.
Yes, you can complete this course on your computer, tablet or mobile device.
This course is open and available to all Canadians. There is no age restriction on the course content, and the content covered is designed to support farmers from all sectors of Canadian agriculture.
You can view the material as many times as you like during the course session, but you will not be able to download the course materials or access them once your course session has ended.
